Empowering Children and Communities Across Zambia

In Zambia, KNH and its local partners work to give children the chance to grow up healthy, safe, and hopeful for the future. Many families depend on agriculture and are strongly affected by poverty and the impacts of climate change. That’s why our projects focus on realizing children’s rights to education, health, protection, survival, and development. Together with communities, we raise awareness of child protection and children’s rights, strengthen local support systems, and promote sustainable farming to secure food and income for families. In this way, we help create lasting change for vulnerable children across Zambia.

Our Focus of Work

Education and Early Childhood Development

We improve access to quality early childhood care and education, especially during the first years of a child's life. By supporting schools and training teachers, we give vulnerable children the opportunity to learn and grow.

Health and Child Protection

Our work helps prevent malnutrition, disease, and violence against children. Together with families, schools, and communities, we strengthen child protection systems and promote awareness of gender-based violence and children’s rights.

Climate Change and Sustainable Livelihoods

We support communities in learning sustainable and climate-friendly agricultural methods. These help families adapt to changing weather conditions, improve food security, and ensure that children can grow up in a safe and healthy environment.
